In Margate's thriving art scene, British Cat Artist Job Muscroft presents his second annual exhibition, The Joy Of Cats 2, at the Pharmacy Gallery. Free for all to enjoy, the exhibition features 50 original acrylic cat paintings, characterized by their vibrant colors and unique character expressions, influenced by Job’s travels in Japan and his love of Kawaii.

The Joy Of Cats 2 is a chance for people to explore the deep emotional connection people have with their cats.

“My paintings are deeply personal and are love letters to all cats that bring so much joy and happiness into our lives even in the darkest of times. Throughout history cats have been celebrated and idolised, I am adding the latest chapter with my kawaii cats who aim to provide a daily dose of dopamine for their owners.” Job Muscroft, Artist

In the UK alone there are 11 million cats which means 1 in 4 households owns a cat according to Cats Reports 2023 (2). When asked why people own cats 73% of cat owners said that owning a cat brings them joy.
